Introduction to the Project
This project, undertaken for the MacArthur Foundation, focuses on documenting climate solutions and their impacts across India, specifically in the states of Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Odisha. Through this initiative, I traveled extensively, capturing compelling visuals that highlight the challenges of climate change and the innovative solutions being implemented to address them.
The photographs reflect a spectrum of emotions—hope, resilience, solidarity, and the everyday struggles faced by communities transitioning to clean energy. They illustrate the profound stories of people impacted by climate change, emphasizing the human connection to environmental issues.
Objective
The goal was to build a robust photo library showcasing the multidimensional aspects of life in India related to climate solutions, capturing real-life scenarios and natural environments. These visuals aim to inspire collaboration and awareness, while respecting cultural integrity and subject consent.
